Our son, Ethan, was diagnosed with autism at age 2 ½. He has dealt with severe insomnia and outbursts of anger and frustration most of his life. At 6 months old we noticed he had involuntary arm movements. Later these were diagnosed as stereotypic arm movements. We also noticed that his speech development did not progress appropriately for his age. And he normally does not enjoy playing with typical toys. We are using every resource possible to assist Ethan. Both of Ethan’s parents changed their jobs in order to assist him more. This has resulted in less income since they are dedicating more time for their son. He is currently working with behavioral therapists and is making progress. The therapists stated that he would likely benefit from having an IPad. Ethan loves music and letters and excels in that area. We hope to build upon that by adding technology to his treatment plan. He also loves diesel trains and has an intense desire to learn more about them as well.
Ethan is an amazing young boy with a wonderful heart. We are looking forward to his impact on this world !
